Mary Baldwin Crovatt

Mary Baldwin Crovatt, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was born May 9, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Erwin and Margaret Scaparro Baldwin. Mary was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and also worked for Kroger in Richmond Hill.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Mayes.

Surviving are three children, James Crovatt, Michael Crovatt, and  Jennifer Canady (Wes), all of Savannah. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Joseph Prouse and Felicia Mayes, whom she cared for as her own children, Michael Crovatt, William Crovatt, Evan Canady, one great-granddaughter, Ellie Freeman, two brothers, Bruce Baldwin (Shirley), and Frank Baldwin (Kathy), and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church.

Entombment will be in Hillcrest Abbey Mausoleum.
